5 Things To Do When You're In A Slump

So here are 5 quick, easy things to do when you're in a slump:

Over the Easter holiday I've seem to have caught a bit of cabin fever and found myself with the inability to leave my bed over Monday morning. Feeling fairly shit and rather lazy, I opted to do the only other thing my body commanded; which was eat, chocolate to be more specific. The rest, as they say, is history as I stumbled upon a few more immediate quick fixes to make you feel like you again:
  • Wash your face. This doesn't have to be a long skincare routine but chances are once you've taken the first step you're more than likely might reconsider and throw in a quick exfoliation and mask to feel like you have completed a task. But in reality, washing your face not only awakens/refreshes you but also gives you a sense of "new day" as generally most people do this in the morning.

  • Make a cup of tea. This age old remedy works pretty much every time!

  • Step in the shower/bath. It doesn't matter whether you've just showered 2 hours ago or not. Hot water, like tea, just not the exact same temperature bruh ,will fix anything.
  • Eat the chocolate or the ice-cream. This works - 90% of the time. It's true what they say; chocolate helps release those swell hormones like serotonin and dopamine which make you happy. The ice-cream is simply for the soul - enjoy every bite.

  • Put some music on. A little pre-exercise for slumpy days- create a playlist on your Spotify or PC music player and turn it on for when you need it most! Opt for vibey/productive music which helps you turn the mood around.

So it may not seem like a lot but a simple step can sometimes lead to a productive afternoon/rest of the week.
